Boykan Residency and Competition

 

From February 24-28, 2015, renowned American Composer Martin Boykan will be joining Grace Notes, Salty Cricket and Professor Steve Roens from the University of Utah for a residency in Salt Lake City, Utah.  During his residency, he will host Master Classes, Concerts and Speaking Engagements.

Composition Competition
This is your opportunity to participate and submit your solo piano or violin scores to be judged by Professor Boykan.  The winner of the competition contest will have their piece performed on both the February 26th Salty Cricket “Melange Concert” and the February 28th Martin Boykan Residency Concert. Submit your score, CV/Bio or questions to Nathaniel Eschler at nweschle@brandeis.edu.  Submit the $20 registration fee by clicking on the button below.  This competition is available for seniors in high school and undergraduate students in all Utah schools.

Master Classes
Master Class registration is open to all Utah Residents and is $200 per person. Spots are limited and preference will be given to current students or professionals in the field of composition.  Master Classes will be held from 10-12 and 2-4 on Wednesday and Friday during the residency. Location: University of Utah. Submit your name for consideration, CV/Bio or questions to Nathaniel Eschler at nweschle@brandeis.edu.  Once selected you will be contacted and must submit a $50 holding fee that will be applied to the $200 total: to be paid in full on the day of your masterclass.
